Map it for You Monday...happy birthday, gorgeous!

Last week I shared with you that on Monday's I would share a sketch and then show you a card.  I decided to stay with the same sketch, so that you can see the versatility of using a sketch.
Here's the sketch....

And here's my card....

A close-up...

Here's how I made the card...
1. Cut sweet sugarplum cs at 41/4".  Score at 5 1/2".
2. Cut whisper white cs at 4" x 5 1/4".  Adhere the 3 designer series papers cut at 3/4"X 6 from the succulent garden series paper. (0ccasions catalog)  I kind of angled them a little bit and cut off the excess on each side.
3. Adhere the whisper white layer to the sweet sugarplum card base.
4. Using whisper white cut out circle from layering framelits die in whisper white and the scallop in sweet sugarplum.
5. Stamp in memento tuxedo black ink from the Beautiful You Stamp set that is located in the Occasions catalog.  Then using the sweet sugarplum layer over top of the lady.
6.  Using a 1" piece of whisper white cardstock stamp happy birthday, gorgeous from the Beautiful You stamp set.  Layer onto a 11/4" sweet sugarplum  piece of cs.
7. Adhere scallop to bottom right hand corner
8.  Adhere greeting to left overlapping.
9. Tie a piece of basic black solid baker's twine in a bow.  You will need about 16".
And that's all! So simple and so pretty!

FAB Friday! Preview....Wine Bottle Gift Tag

On Fridays I will post my FAB Friday project.  This will be fun because it will be a variety of projects I'll share with you and a video how- to to go along with it .  This project came about because I couldn't find a wine gift bag for a gift and I needed it right away! Hope you enjoy it!

I just love how quick and simple this tag was to make.  You could put it on a water bottle, soda bottle or like I did... a wine bottle!  All you need is a piece of 31/8" X 6" piece of crumb cake cardstock and a piece of falling in love designer series paper that is 1/2" by 31/8".  On the video below, I made a mistake and said 1/4" instead of 1/2".  Stamp it up with something fun! I used watercolor words from the annual Stampin' Up catalog. Use your 13/8" circle punch, score it so the tag will lay nicely on the bottle and you are good to go! Please see my video below for a how-to and complete list of supplies below!

Wow Wednesday...You're the Best

I know it's not Wednesday, but I'm giving you a preview of what next week will be like.  I think I am finally getting the hang of this whole videotaping, editing and posting! It's a whole new world and I am learning so much! So ...drum rolll...presenting....Wow Wednesday! A day where you will come and find my take on a technique.  I am hoping you'll learn something new every Wednesday!

Here's the card that I am sharing with you today!

With very vanilla, crumb cake cardstock and our new designer series paper from our Occasions catalog...falling in love...; crumb cake and flirty flamingo classic ink pads topped off with blushing bride baker's twine and some clear wink of stella this card is quick and simple and yet so elegant!
It uses my favorite stamp set in the annual catalog...watercolor words!
To create this card I used a stamp off technique for the background of the card to create a more subtle background.  I didn;t have the blushing bride classic stamp pad so  by using the flirty flamingo and stamping off I was able to match the colors on the falling in love designer series paper so flawlessly!

Watch below to find out exactly how I did it!

It's not a 1/4" of DSP it should be 1/2"...sorry about the typo!

Happy Friday!!!

Map it for You Monday's...Sketch 1

I know it's Thursday and my sketch says Monday, but I wanted to get this posted! Between report cards and a sinus infection and setting a goal of beginning videos and all that goes along with videoing...ugh!!!!  So....here it goes!!! Every Monday I will have a sketch for you and then a video showing you how I used the sketch to make a card.  Hope you enjoy it!

Here's the sketch that I created for you! I love to use sketches to make cards.  It is such a great starting point! It's always so fun to see what the final result looks like!

So....here's my end result!
The Carried Away Designer Series paper adds so much to this card using the Lift me Up Bundle from Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog and the mint macaron and night of navy classic stamp pads.  I love how things coordinate so well and the patterns of the clouds give it some personality.    Putting Stampin Up Dimensionals on the backs of the hot air balloons and the stamped clouds pops it off the paper.

Saleabration is in full swing! You have until March 31st to take advantage of earning a FREE set for every  $50 you spend in papercrafting goodies!
