So here's my card....
supplies: white cs (neenah) and silver wrapping paper; inks- tuxedo black (memento), watercolor markers (crayola) and various glimmer mists; stamps- embrace life (stampin up), greetiings (inkadinakadoo), and dragonfly cupcake (limited runs); accessories- pink polka dot washi tape (amuse studio) and white sequins (dollar tree).

A close up....
I copied both the cupcake on neenah white cardstock and the silver wrapping paper.  I then cut out the wrapping paper and glued it on top of the white cs.  After that I watercolored by coloring a crayola marker on a plastic bag and then picking the color up with a wet brush and painting the cupcake in the pink, purple and blue.

I really liked this sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch this week.

I am also entering this into Inkspirational Challenge #81.  I am interpreting the word space as having lots of white space on my card!:)

This week has been a whirlwind, so when I looked at the challenge I said....light purple, dark purple and a sage color in my mind.  So, you will see that I took that literally when I was choosing colors for my card. :)  My purple is more of an orchid purple.

hello again....

Over at Sisterhood of Crafters, a new challenge is beginning today and it's my debut project (biting my nails).
We want you to create anything that has to do with RAIN!!!

So....here's what I came up with... a very CAS card!  I was inspired by the colors in my rainboots. Don't they remind you of a piece of pattern paper? I love them.  Despite the fact that I am not a fan of rain...wearing these boots always puts a smile on my face!
supplies: paper-white cs(neenah), watermelon, blush and titian cs (amuse studio); ink- watermelon, blush and titian craft pad (amuse studio); stamps-fresh (american crafts); accessories- flower punch (stampin up), rhinestones (recollections) and hello (my stash).

I wanted to show you how I made this card without measuring and drawing lines, etc.  I punched out 6 squares and placed them on my cardstock.  As I stamped, I moved each one of them and then I would put it back down on top after I stamped.  I also wrote down what color I wanted to stamp it in, so I wouldn't forget.

Here's a close up of the added extra flower punches.

I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch this week.

I am also entering this in...Fan-Tastic Tuesday where...
Our Theme for this week is
Anything Goes.With a Twist....
Use a Die or Punch  .......... I used my small flower punch from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by today! Can't wait to see what you create with the theme of "rain!" You have until Sunday, April 19 at 8PM EST to get your project linked up!

you are my happy...

Have you seen that over at Try Stampin on Tuesday this sketch is there today.   Lynda came up with it....isn't it great?!
It's a skinny card. A fun little size to work with.

Here's what I came up with....
I will be honest...this was my second take!  The first one did not photograph very well.  I had to change it up a little to make it work.  I love my finished product!
supplies: in the garden (pebbles), white cs (neenah), rhinestones (recollections) and black and white baker's twine (the twinery)
This is an easy card to put together once I figured out the measurements.
So, here's what I used...
white cs 31/2 X11 scored at 5 1/2
blue and white gingham 3 X41/4
pink  31/4X31/4
flower strip 1/2X31/2

Here's a close up...
I stitched the "tail" of the butterfly with my sewing machine.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hope to see your take on the sketch over  at Try Stampin' On Tuesday this week.  And just a little note...you will notice that my card doesn't have any stamping on it....it's ok...it doesn't have to  to join in on the fun over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  We just want you to have fun and follow the sketch doing whatever....a card, a tag, anything crafty....
