Thanks so much!

And last but not least....CASology has this up right now!

Love You More...

supplies and recipe: papers- seattle cs 51/2 X41/4 (amuse studio), white cs 51/4 X 33/4 (recollections), spotted canary (k and co.) 1X5/14, bundled up (crate paper) 2X51/4 and cranberry cobbler 1X51/4 (stampin up); inks/coloring- seattle craft ink pad (amuse studio) and fantasia watercolor pencils; stamps-chilled cucumber soup (jillibean soup), persian kitty (sami stamps); accessories-white foam dots (thickers)

Here's a close up.  I was so excited when I could use my seattle craft pad to color the foam white dots.  It took quite a few minutes for this card to come together, but I am thrilled with the look of it!

Here's where I got my inspiration...
Over at If You Give A Crafter A Cookie, a new challenge went live today!
Very exciting news...I am now part of the Design Team.
The challenge runs for 2 weeks.  So ...join in and have some fun! I was inspired by the cat cookie.  Sami Stamps is our sponsor this challenge.  Make sure you stop over and see what she has in her shop!

I used the color palette from Colour Q.

And I used the sketch from The Paper Players too.  I hope you can see that I just turned it sideways.

Updated..... Thanks Joanne for choosing my card to be a cut above ...

Thanks for stopping by today!

You are so fabulous!

supplies: papers-hey kid (pink paislee), black cs (recollections); accessories-flowers (sassafras lass), enamel dot (recollections) and black/white baker's twine (the twinery).

Here's a close up of all the goodies...
I had to sleep on this one.  I started it last night.  Then knew it needed some more things, but couldn't figure it out.  I got up this morning and it came together so easily.  Now it looks finished (to me at least)!

I got my inspiration from retrosketches.
The linky closes at 11:59pm Central on Friday, January 30th, 2015.
I just made the card not a square.  Hope you can see the sketch.

Make a card/project that has opposites on it. Think opposite colors on the color wheel, stripes and polka dots, black and white, mirror image, etc.  I think I did this in several ways! :)

Use buttons.

Tuesday Throwdown # 229 Facets For Crafting (using gems, sequins ... etc.).
I used an enamel dot and button.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thinking of You Watercolors...

supplies and recipe: brilliant blue 51/2 X 11, basic black 33/4X33/4 and very vanilla  4X4 cs (stampin up) and watercolor paper (strathmore); inks-versamark(tsukeneko), crayola watercolor markers and watercolors (michaels); embossing powder- black (stampin up); ribbon-red grosgrain (walmart)

And here's a close up...
It didn't show up as dark in the pic as what it is on the card.  I used my watercolor marker to pick up the colors from the watercolor palette and the red marker I put on the stamp case and picked it up off of that.

I have been thinking about this card for about a week...ever since I saw the challenge over at Runway Inspired Challenge Blog.  I really like how mine turned out!  There's still time....projects for this challenge are due by Friday, January 30th at 11:59pm ET.

I was inspired by the colors and the rectangles on her shirt.
Thanks for stopping by!

A Friend Card

supplies and recipe: paper-watercolor paper, black and white (recollections) cs; ink- gelatos (faber castell) and tuxedo black (memento); stamps- inkadinkadoo; accessories- black jewels (amuse studio)  and sunburst embossing plate (sizzix).

Not sure why, but I just couldn't find an "it" factor for this card.  And it does look so much better in person but here's a close up...

I used the Color Throwdown
color palette for inspiration.

And I also used the Casology cue card for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

supplies and recipe: papers- ocean mist 4 X51/4, real red  11/2 X12 cs (stampin up) and white 41/4X51/2 cs (recollections); inks- versamark (tsukineko) and tuxedo black (memento); stamps- lots of dots and birthday wishes (amuse studio); accessories- enamel dots (recollections) and birthday cake (imaginisce)

I stamped in versamark just to give a slight bit of texture on the ocean mist cardstock and folded my real red cs back and forth to create some more interest.

I got my inspiration from the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Jen M created the sketch...great job!  I think this sketch is very versatile!

I am also entering this into the challenge over at Seize the Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Monday!

You make my heart HAPPY!

When I went to WalMart yesterday to pick up a prescription or should I say wait for them to finish filling my prescription, I walked down the scrapbook aisle and found this...

and this to go with it...

The 6X6 paper pad was only $2.97 and all those cards were only $4.87.  No way!?
I played around with them last night and here's a card I came up with...
supplies and recipe: paper- chalkboard (we r memory keepers 6X6 paper pad and albums made easy kit) pattern paper is cut to 4X51/4...the 3 cards are from the albums made easy kit, white cs (recollections) 41/4 X 51/2; stamps- handscripted (amuse studio) and cold and cuddly(stampin up); ink- tuxedo black (memento) and watercolor markers (crayola); accessories- black and white twine (the twinery).

Here's a close up...
I stamped and fussy cut the penguins out.  Then I used a stampin' dimensional to pop them off the card.

I am entering this card into a new challenge blog called If You Give A Crafter A Cookie.  Check it out...every week she posts pictures of cookies for you to be inspired by.  Here's the one for this challenge.  I was very inspired by the colors and the sweet little penguins.

I am also entering my card into the Fusion Card Challenge.  I was inspired by the hearts.

And last but not least Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.  This week it's

HAVE A HEARTValentine’s Day is just around the corner so now is the time to get all lovey dovey and create something for someone you love !

Thanks for stopping by!

We need a little spring!

Can anyone make the white stuff go away here in January? Just went out and shoveled and looks like I will need to go out again before the night is done.  So....I needed something to get me thinking about warm weather.  Over at "Just Us Girls" Challenge Blog they had just the remedy I needed...

Then..I used the Retro Rubber Challenge Sketch at their challenge blog.

At first, I will be honest....I said orange with green and blue...yuck! But then when my card started to come together, I really loved the look.  So...thanks girls for the challenge!

supplies and recipe: paper-fern cs cut 41/4X 11 and scored at 51/2, bermuda cs cut 4X51/4 (amuse studio), white (recollections) cut 4 6/16 X 2 1/2, pumpkin pie (stampin up) I cut it 4 X 5 1/4 and then just tore around my white cs piece; inks: bellini and grass (amuse studio) and tuxedo black (memento); stamps: because of you (amuse studio); ribbon- sage(stampin up)

Here's a close up...
I stamped in the grass stamp pad and then would stamp a second time without placing the stamp back in the stamp pad for a lighter shadowy effect.  I used a stampin dimensional to pop the butterfly off the paper.  Something else I did that I haven't done in a very long time was sand and tear paper.  I just thought that it softened this card a little more, but it still stayed clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Anyone else wishing for a little spring in their world right now?

Hearts and More Hearts

It is the season for reds, pinks and browns and also hearts! I must admit I was so surprised to walk into Wal-Mart the day after Christmas and see Valentine's candy, cards and decorations quickly replaced all of the red and green in less than a day.  So, why not join in and show my hearts off too!

supplies and recipe: paper- white cs (recollections) cut 4 1/4  X 11 and scored at 5 1/2; stamps- i heart hearts (stampin up), handscripted (amuse studio); inks- watermelon, blush, burano, french roast and cranberry (amuse studio) and black tuxedo (memento); accessories- white enamel dot stickers (recollections).

I  got my inspiration from several card challenges out there right now.
What an awesome sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch! Thanks Chrissy for the inspiration!

I got my inspiration from the hearts and word love in The Card Concept Challenge #27 and also used the colors!  My card is definitely clean and simple!

And this one too over at Stampin Celebration Challenge Blog.  My inspiration was the hearts and word love and colors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

RS #146 and ric #74

Here's where I got my inspiration...
Love what the DT did with this sketch over at retrosketches!

And check out the many ways that the DT used this beauty of inspiration!

So...here's my card

supplies: cardstock and pattern papers- white cs (recollections), cranberry cs (amuse studio), orange pattern paper (american crafts ), grey and white diagonal (glitz black and white); stamps- A Beautiful thing (stampin' up); inks- pebble (amuse studio); apricot (amuse studio)

I obviously used the gorgeous retrosketches sketch and then used the orange and white from the dress.  I added a touch of red accent as they did on the dress for the belt and used grey because of the handbag.
Thanks so much for stopping today!
Happy New Year!
