Day 3...Whisper White Cardstock All Jazzed Up FREE Online Class

The last card of the class is my personal favorite.  I was so excited that what I envisioned worked the first time I even did it! If you missed Day 2...you can find it here! And if you missed Day 1...you can find it here!

Here's a close up to help to show you how I created this card...

Using the burlap canvas background stamp, I colored on it with the lemon lime twist, pool party and flirty flamingo classic ink pads by pushing the closed lids down into the ink.  Then when I opened the ink I had a puddle of ink that I picked up with the aqua painter and colored directly on the stamp.  I started with the pool party and worked quickly adding the flirty flamingo and lastly lemon lime twist.   Make sure you clean your aqua painter off in between colors so you don't muddy up your puddle of ink.   Then I huffed on the stamp and stamped it on the whisper white cardstock.  If you look closely at the dots that I stamped with pool party,  you will see that it also has the canvas texture to it.  I created that effect by inking the dots up in pool party, then stamping on the canvas stamp and finally stamping on the whisper white cardstock.

Directions and Measurements: 4 1/4" piece of  long whisper white cardstock and scored at 5 1/2"
scraps of flirty flamingo, pool party and lemon lime twist cardstock.  see above for how to create the background.  Then ink the butterfly stamp with black tuxedo memento ink pad really well and make sure you have a firm push on this stamp in the middle to get a good image. ink the greeting in memento making sure you get the small words and that you don't rock it when you place on the whisper white cardstock to stamp.  Cut 3 1 1/4" half circles and attach with snail adhesive.  Attach washi tape to the top of the card.  And VOILA... you are done!
That concludes my FREE Whisper White Cardstock All Jazzed Up Class.  I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what you think!

to think of you is to smile!

Every once in a while I need to be reminded how much I truly love to design and create cards.  I get so busy sometimes and I don't make it a priority, but when I do it...I feel better! My Grammy passed away last Sunday at 94 years of age.  She truly was an angel God sent to live here on Earth.  As I made this card, I couldn't help but think of her.  We've spent a lot of time together since last November when she had her 2nd stroke.  I learned so much about her likes and interests because I couldn't talk to her about things that happened yesterday or earlier that day with her declining dementia.  And she told some amazing tall tale stories! Although I am sad and I will miss her, I know that she is at peace.  She always made me smile and the smile on her face and sparkle in her eyes when I walked into her room filled my heart with joy!
When I saw the color challenge at Color Throwdown, I made it a priority to participate because well...I love yellow! I also found the sketch over Global Design Project fun and decided to put the two together.  And I challenged myself to use the Eastern Beauty stamp set that I have only used once since purchasing last year.

Hope you liked yesterday's card! Thanks so much for stopping by!
If you didn't see yesterday's post, we did the first card in the Whisper White All Jazzed Up Class and you can find it here.  Again, if you like this card, sign up for my newsletter and you will get some ideas on how you can "Shake it Up!" or alternate ideas to the cards in the class which can include different colors and/or different stamp sets with the same skeletal premise to the cards I show you in this class! "The Shake It Up!" will all be part of the online class (private blog) that you will have access to and go for photos, directions and a supply list.  If you are interested in me creating paper and embellishment kits to go with the kit, please contact me at sandileescraps@gmail.com.
Today I am going to show you another card that my VI Peeps made on Wednesday evening....

Thanks for That Thing You Did Card. This photo is a great close up to show you the detailed beautiful dry embossed impression that the Lovely Floral embossing folder creates.

And a photo of the whole card.
Directions and Measurements: whisper white cardstock cut at 41/4" and scored at 5 1/2"
share what you love designer series paper cut at 3 1/2" x  2"
half of a pearlized doily
stitched circle next to the biggest
A couple hints for this card.  I stamped only the greeting from all things thanks stamp set before I cut the circle.  Then when I cut the circle I moved it over as far as I could.  After I cut the circle, I stamped the flowers from the love what you do stamp set.  I masked the bottom of the stamp with a post it and then turned the stamp upside down to put the stem on after.  I wanted my flowers to start after the stitching and didn't care if the stem went down into the stitching.  I used the rich razzleberry watercolor pencil and then carefully used a blender pen to blend it due to the tranquil tide ink pad also being waterbased.  When you are using the big shot with the lovely floral dynamic impressions embossing folder, you will only use the platform (so flip the top 2 pieces up and stick them through the big shot) then lay your embossing folder with the cardstock inside directly on top.  Finally, place your standard cutting mat on top.  This is pictured on page 222 of the catalog,
I used minidimensionals to attach the stitched circle and the rich razzleberry velvet ribbon to the card.

I found this sketch on Fab Friday Challenge Blog and was inspired to use it to create this card!

I hope you will come back tomorrow and see Day 3  (the final day) of the FREE Whisper White All Jazzed Up Class card. Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter, so I can send you some "Shake It Up" Ideas or alternative ways to use the same ideas for this class!
Thanks for stopping by!
