Creating Your Own Pattern Paper with Happy Birthday Gorgeous

I did my first facebook live yesterday.  Yikes! It was scary.  But I did it! I only watched the first couple seconds of the playback and then turned it off.  It's just so weird to listen to the sound of your own voice.  However, I know that I called the Big Shot a Cricut and started saying something a couple times and then got sidetracked and never went back to it.  When you do a video on you tube, it can be a little more refined.  The live video on facebook  makes one feel very vulnerable! I got one FB LIve under my belt and here's to the next one! Enough of me jibberjabbing!
Here's the end result of the card I made on facebook live yesterday!
This is very simple card as far as cutting paper goes.  You just need a hot dog piece of very vanilla cardstock, which is 4 1/4" X 11 and it scored at 5 1/2", another piece of very vanilla at 41/4" X 51/2" to create your pattern paper and a piece of 1 1/2" X  2 1/2" of very vanilla cardstock.

Directions:
  1. Using the incolors Stampin' Up classic ink pads from 2018-2020, stamp the piece of very vanilla cardstock at 4 1/4 "X 5 1/2."  You can refer to the video to see exactly what stamps I used from Happy Birthday Gorgeous or change it up and do it how you want.
  2. Cut 2 circles out from the layering circles dies.  And use your stripes embossing folder to emboss the front of your very vanilla cardstock card base.
  3.  With blueberry bushel classic ink pad, stamp the Happy Birthday greeting on the 1 1/2" X 2 1/2" piece of vanilla cardstock.
  4. Using the circle punch, bend the cardstock in half making sure that it is in the punch evenly and punch half a circle on each end.  It looks like a tag.
  5. Attach your circles on the very vanilla embossed card front with SNAIL.  Attach your greeting with mini stampin dimensionals.
  6. Attach sequins with fine tip glue pen.
  7.  Send your card to a friend or family member!

I also made this card with the same technique.
You can see I added a little extra fun with the Banners for You stamp set and dies.
For this card, you will need a scrap piece of vanilla cardstock so you can stamp the banner on it.
Directions:
And use your simple stripes embossing folder to emboss the front of your very vanilla cardstock card base.
  3.  With a memento tuxedo black stamp pad and the banners for you stamp set, stamp the 2 tiered banner.  Using the happy birthday to you greetings from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, stamp into the banner.  And then I cut it with my Banners for You dies.
  4. Attach your circles on the very vanilla embossed card front with SNAIL.  Attach your greeting with mini stampin dimensionals.
  5. Attach sequins with the fine tip glue pen.
  6.  Send your card to a friend or family member!
Can't decide which card I like better!? I do know that I love the simple stripes embossing folder.  The simple and quick texture that it creates on the background is just FAB!
I used the amazing sketch (as always) from Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
Hope you had an amazing week! And a relaxing weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

I love sketches.  They are so fun to use and give me a starting point.

So many fun things happening right now! All the retiring items and the clearance items and then the share what you love bundles that Stampin' Up! has put out so that we can become absolutely beyond excitement about the new catalog debut on June 1st.  One of the things I love about being a demonstrator is being able to see the catalog and actually order from it before June 1st.  I know that I am a very good customer to me, but it's because I love the product that Stampin' Up! creates.  They are constantly coming out with something new to surprise me and make me oohhh and aaahhh over!

Amazing Congratulations ....Stampin' Up! Style

Have you ever ordered a stamp set and then forgot that you had it?
Then when you realize you have it....it feels like Christmas!
I know none of you have ever experienced that feeling of Euphoria before....LOL! :)
I bought Amazing Congratulations back in February and am just now getting around to using it for the first time.  I am glad that no one chose it as a prize for my BINGO event .
I am so happy that the sun is shining and spring/summer is certainly in the air.  My body was craving natural Vitamin D after all the yucky germs that seemed to cling to me like velcro this winter. and into early spring.

So, here's the card I made using the stamp set Amazing Congratulations...

Measurements:

whisper white stampin up cardstock cut at 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
whisper white stampin up cardstock 4 X 5 1/4"

Directions:

1. Fold scored base in 1/2 and set aside.
2. Stamp Congratulations from Amazing Congratulations in Pineapple Punch.  It is a 2 step stamp set, but I did not try to create any shadowing effect.  I went from the pad to the paper.  A hint....I got better coverage when I turned the pad upside down and actually applied ink to the stamp.  Then stamp the little one in the archival basic black.
3. Ink Bella up using the archival black stampin up pad and stamp on the whisper white.
4.  Color with stampin blends markers.  Please see product list below and the photos for correct marker color.
5.  Using the clouds from the Up and Away thinlit die set, cut 2 small clouds and 1 medium size.  I placed mini popup dots on the backs of the clouds to give it some dimension and texture.
6. Adhere to the whisper white card base.
Over at Muse Card Club,  Challenge #267 started on Monday.  I fell in love with the card.  I was very inspired by the colors, the big words at the bottom and the idea of using an cute animal.  Thanks so much Tracey for the inspiration.

I am going to  talk about the Color Revamp over several days because it can be a bit overwhelming, exciting and sad.

Today, I want to share with you the new incolors that are coming aboard in the 2018 catalog.
 Here they are....

2018-2020 InColors

sandileescraps.blogspot.com

I love the bright primary feel of these colors.  Pineapple punch really does give you a nice punch of yellow and brightens up my card.  The Stampin' Up! pads are also newly formulated and in a new design, which I am loving.  Instead of pushing the pad open and pulling it back.  Now you open it up and then push it back.  You can order these now as a preorder if you don't want to wait until June 1st.

With the new things coming aboard, that means that we have to say goodbye to some faves!
Here are a list of retiring colors that will only be available until May 31st or until supplies last.

On May 31, 2018, thirteen colors are retiring.
